On 6th February we tragically and suddenly lost Ray to a massive heart attack whilst on holiday in Spain.The shock of his death has left a gaping hole in the lives of everyone he knew and a void in our family that seems impossible to fill. In his 40th wedding anniversary year and a few weeks into semi retirement he was more full of life than ever and genuinely excited about the future. To be taken away suddenly leaves us lost in a haze and shocked beyond comprehension. Ray wasn’t religous but believed in an after-life and we take comfort that he looks down on us and smiles. He would want us to celebrate his short life and remember all the good times. His laughter, humour and caring ways has touched so many people that he will never be forgotten. Pauline intends to create a new garden of flowers, shrubs and a few trees as a permanent daily reminder of Ray and those who contributed not just for the garden but contributed to making him the wonderful man that he was. And you were all part of his life.
